About

As I reflect on my time as an undergraduate at MSU, I am most grateful for the vast opportunities to explore many avenues of zoology, while simultaneously pursuing my dream of a career working with elephants. I have conducted research on animal behavior in a Zoology lab, assisted in the care of the vertebrate collections in the MSU Museum, attended seminars on elephants and animal behavior, and gained hands-on experience with two zoo elephant internships. Furthermore, I have been incredibly blessed to form relationships with academic staff and advisers that have supported me with career planning, interview preparation, and advice with every step of this journey.

I am so pleased to say that I have accepted a post-graduation job as an Elephant Keeper at the Oklahoma City Zoo. This accomplishment would have been nearly impossible without the experiences and opportunities made possible by the Integrative Biology Department at MSU, and for that, I am so grateful.
